Franklin County Conservation District
COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS

The Franklin County Conservation District has established an Environmental College Scholarship Program to support agricultural and environmental education students residing in Franklin County.  Profits from the annual golf tournament have enabled the Conservation District to offer scholarships for the upcoming school year.

This year 4 scholarships are being offered for the 2008-2009 school year to college students who meet the requirements listed below and are chosen as recipients by the Franklin County Conservation District Board of Directors.

Applications can be obtained by calling the District office Monday through Friday (7:00 am to 3:30 pm) at 717-264-5499 OR students can print their own application forms and support materials from the Districts web site at: www.franklinccd.org (click on scholarships).

STUDENT ELIGIBILITY:

  1. Franklin County High School Graduate
  2. Attending a college or university in the United States majoring in:
    1. Agriculture
    2. Conservation
    3. Environmental Resource Management
    4. Forestry
    5. Natural Resource Management or related field
  1. Open to 4 year - Juniors or Seniors
  2. Associate degree – second year

STUDENT APPLICATION:

  1. Application
  2. Written statement of scholarship need
  3. A copy of latest college transcripts
  4. Written essay of why you have chosen this Major and career goals
  5. Recommendation letter
